The museum is inaccessible to wheelchair users and is partly accessible to other users. The museum is housed in Velenje Castle. From the foot of the hill, the castle car park can be reached on foot via several staircases or by car on a steep road. The only access from the car park to the castle entrance is via a footpath, a steep gravel ramp with drainage channels. The exhibition spaces can be accessed from the outer castle atrium. Access to the exhibition spaces on the ground floor and on the first floor is impeded by stairs and high steps at entrances and inside the rooms. There is no lift in the castle or accessible sanitary facilities. The exhibition offers an adapted guide of the exhibits for the blind (braille) and people with visual impairments (large print) and also offers some adapted tactile exhibition items.
