Object description

The facility is partially accessible. The main entrance has a steep corridor leading to a steep ramp along the entire corridor to the halls and the bar. The main hall has two designated spaces for wheelchair users and is equipped with an induction loop. The sanitary facilities are only partly accessible due to the narrow doors and the unsuitably placed equipment. The ticket counter opens into the hallway and its height is not suitable. The cinemateque also has a side entrance from the courtyard that has an inclined lifting platform next to the stairs. The new ticket office, cinema museum and smaller conference room are only accessible via the stairs (the site visit was carried out during renovations).

Adaptations

1. People with mobility impairments:
2. There is a designated accessible parking spot, but it is not spacious enough (as part of public city parking),
3. The main entrance to the building is accessible (impeded access due to a steep curb),
4. The cinemateque has a side entrance featuring an inclined lifting platform for access to the inner courtyard for private parking,
5. There is sufficient room to manoeuvre indoors,
6. The hall has two designated spaces for wheelchair users,
7. The building has partly accessible sanitary facilities (door width 80 cm).
8. People with visual impairments:
9. There are no adaptations.
10. People with hearing impairments:
11. The reception desk glazing is non-reflective or non-glaring,
12. The hall is equipped with an induction loop,
13. The film projections include subtitles,
14. The spaces have adequate sound insulation.

Deficiencies

1. People with mobility impairments:
2. The accessible parking spot in front of the entrance is not spacious enough,
3. The accessible service side entrance is not designated (entrance from the inner atrium of the building),
4. There is a change of level at the entrance (steep curb and a few steps to the new museum spaces and the ticket office),
5. The ramp in the hallway is too steep for independent use.
6. People with visual impairments:
7. The reception desk is not located in the immediate vicinity of the entrance,
8. There are abrupt transitions from light to dark spaces in the building,
9. The signage and lettering in the building do not have contrasting visual markings and are not readable.
10. People with hearing impairments:
11. There are no deficiencies.
