The building housing both the National Museum of Slovenia and the Natural History Museum of Slovenia is easily accessible. The main entrance is only accessible via stairs and is equipped with a door opening mechanism. The reception desk is located to the left of the lobby. Access for wheelchair users is at the side entrance at the back of the building, where an intercom is installed, and access is by means of a smaller moving ramp. There is also a lift next to the accessible entrance providing access to both exhibition floors. The building has accessible sanitary facilities. The spaces of both museums are spread across both floors in a closed loop around a central staircase, so it is possible to only see one or the other museum, but there are not major differences in the equipment and accessibility of the spaces. There is sufficient room to manoeuvre. Higher thresholds with no contrasting visual markings appear in places. The museums are equipped with an audio-video guide. Selected exhibited items enable tactile exploration of the exhibition material.
