Object description

Nova Vas Pioneer Library is partially accessible. The accessible parking spot is located in the car park of the neighbourhood along Radvanjska cesta and is somewhat remote from the library entrance. The closest access path runs under a residential building and is unsuitable for wheelchair users due to height obstacles. The access path with a ramp runs along Oblakova ulica leading past the neighbourhood park. The main entrance to the library has an automatic sliding door. There is sufficient room to manoeuvre in the library. The sanitary facilities are located in the basement and are not accessible. They are accessed via a narrow spiral staircase, as the building does not have a lift. There is a workshop on the first floor that is also only accessible via stairs.

Nova Vas Pioneer Library is intended for children and the youth, while the adults’ section is located in a nearby building with a separate entrance (see Nova Vas Library).

Adaptations

16. The library counter glazing is non-reflective or non-glaring.

Deficiencies

4. The changes of level in the interior of the building are not adequately addressed,
