The museum is very easily accessible. The accessible parking spot is located at the back of the building, where a side entrance with a ramp is also provided. The museum spaces are spread out across several floors and access to them is possible via stairs with contrasting visual markings or a lift. The occasional changes of level are addressed with ramps. The museum is also very well adapted for people with visual impairments. The paths around the museum are marked with tactile floor markings and the floors have tactile maps and descriptions in braille. Multimedia stations with visual and auditory materials are set up around the museum. Herman’s Den Children’s Museum also operates as part of the museum. The playroom has games and books for children with visual impairments. The children’s museum also features a small hall called Herman’s Stage with moveable seating. The museum has accessible sanitary facilities.
