The building of the park’s information centre is the entry point for guided tours of Škocjan Caves or tours of the circular educational trail. The park’s information centre is easily accessible. There is a large car park in front of the building with an accessible parking spot. The information centre’s building is designed on the ground floor around an open atrium that leads to the ticket counter outside, accessible sanitary facilities, information space and the restaurant. The exhibition spaces are located in the basement of the information centre and are accessible via lift. The exhibition offers several video contents and virtual tours of Škocjan Caves. The accessible sanitary facilities are accessed with an Eurokey from the building’s outdoor atrium. The atrium has a tactile model for discovering the park’s surroundings and a tactile map of the information centre for better orientation. The paths in the park and leading to the caves run along a circular gravel path and were not evaluated. Access to the caves is not possible for people with mobility impairments.
