The museum is easily accessible. The ticket office is located to the left of the entrance and is accessible via stairs. Wheelchair users can reach the ticket office by using the ramp from the wardrobe a bit further inside. The exhibition spaces are arranged around a multi-level central lobby. Access to them is possible via stairs or a lift. The stairs to the right of the entrance lead to temporary exhibition spaces. Access to the basement spaces housing artefacts from the Roman Emona is possible via a long winding ramp. Part of the basement also houses a café, which is accessible via lift. The upper floors feature exhibition spaces. There is sufficient room to manoeuvre. Many exhibited items enable tactile exploration of the exhibition material as well as the use of headphones with audio recordings. Tactile exhibition maps are provided next to the exhibition spaces. The accessible sanitary facilities are on the upper floor next to the staircase.
